While Captain Kelly was stuck on Moorea during a gale near Gibraltar, I was visiting an old college friend, Kim and her family in Oslo, Norway.
Kim, Caroline, Nora & Rolf
The first day at their home I entertained myself as Kim & Rolf went to work and the kids to school. I found a path in the neighborhood that led into a small forest.
Along the path, I found a group of children and the daycare providers enjoying an Autumn campfire. They said this was a weekly outing.
Along the path, I heard a girl screaming. I went up a road and found two teenagers playing around in a cart. Good clean fun.
The homes I saw in the neighborhood were striking and large.
I worked up an appetite and walked down to the market. Instead of a proper lunch, I opted for a dark cup of coffee and cream cake.
One next day, the whole family took me on a tour of Oslo.
