Mexico 2005

Our first foreign country where we don’t speak the language but have fun trying out our Spanish.  Most American are afraid of Mexico and won’t step outside the confines of a luxury resort.

Like any location in the world, there are good and bad places with good and bad people.  Fortunately there are more good people in the world than bad.

Below are some of the stops we had in Mexico. We spent 6 months in this country exploring secluded bays and visit popular tourist destinations.  We love the food, the culture and people.

Los Frailes, Baja Mexico

I thought there would be a town in Los Frailes as we bash past Cabo San Lucas and turned North to this illusive location.   It turned out to be a protected bay with Mexican fishing shacks and Canadian & American RVers boon docking in the shady bush just past the beach.

We were among 15 cruising boats held up 5 days, waiting for the north winds to abate. Our plan was to head north to La Paz. Our Christmas destination.
